The conference was organized by the State Enterprise “National Institute for Infrastructure Development” with the support of the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Ukraine’s Infrastructure. The central theme was the restoration of the bridge infrastructure and the development of long-term approaches to the country’s transportation infrastructure.

Participants discussed the national strategy for bridge development, reforming the bridge asset management system, assessing their technical condition and load-bearing capacity, managing the life cycle of structures, and using data to make decisions regarding repairs and reconstruction.

A separate session of discussions was devoted to modern design and construction technologies. Among the key areas were BIM, digital twins, real-time monitoring systems, artificial intelligence, laser scanning, unmanned technologies, and non-destructive testing methods.

International experience was a key topic, particularly the application of Eurocodes, digital solutions, and approaches to enhancing the resilience of bridges against military, climatic, and operational loads. Participants also reviewed practical case studies on the reconstruction, rapid restoration, and strengthening of bridge structures.

The conference served as a platform for collaboration between government, academia, and industry, as well as for the exchange of practical solutions that can be applied during the restoration and modernization of Ukraine’s bridge infrastructure.
