In 2027, the State Energy Supervision Agency Will Strengthen Risk-Based Oversight of Energy Infrastructure
The State Energy Supervision Agency has begun drafting its inspection plan for 2027. The main focus will be on a risk-based approach, the technical condition of energy facilities, and their readiness for potential crisis situations.
When setting priorities, the State Energy Inspection will take into account the results of its work in 2026, the security situation, and the specific characteristics of energy infrastructure operations under martial law. Inspections are planned to focus on violations that could have the most significant consequences for the power grid and consumers.
Special attention will be paid to the technical condition of facilities, systemic and recurring violations, unresolved issues, and the effectiveness of measures already taken. This approach should make it possible not only to respond to violations but also to identify in advance risks that could escalate into crisis situations.
The Inspectorate will also assess the readiness of energy market participants for emergency scenarios and the compliance of their measures with established requirements. For each priority area in the 2027 plan, not only control measures but also the expected practical outcome will be specified.
The final plan will be formulated taking into account the actual state of the energy infrastructure, key industry risks, and the effectiveness of supervisory measures in 2026.
